  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Additional chocolate chips for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust:
    • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
    • Mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
    • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
    • Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.
  • Make the Cheesecake Filling:
    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
    • Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
    • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
    • Stir in the sour cream and chocolate chips.
    • Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top.
  • Bake the Cheesecake:
    • Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set.
    • Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Prepare the Topping:
    • Mix the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
    • Spread over the chilled cheesecake.
    • Garnish with additional chocolate chips if desired.
