This Creamy Cajun Shrimp and Chicken Pasta is a flavorful fusion of juicy shrimp, tender chicken, and a rich, spicy Cajun cream sauce. Perfectly seasoned and tossed with pasta, it's an easy yet indulgent dish that's great for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

 

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season chicken and shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  • Cook chicken in the skillet for 5-7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, then add Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
  • Simmer the sauce for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  • Add cooked pasta, chicken, and shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat.

 

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning for more or less spice.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter option.

 

  • Add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
