Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then cook the chicken breasts until golden and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, cooking until soft.
  • Stir in the mushrooms and cook until browned.
  • Add the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and chicken broth. Stir well.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them in the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half or Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, or with a side of steamed vegetables.
