  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Roll out the pie crust in a pie pan, trimming any excess edges.
  • Spoon the meat mixture into the crust, spreading evenly.
  • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
