1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
¼ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Sesame seeds & chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
Toss chicken with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with rice or vegetables.
